Update Banaslap Studio

Keeping Banaslap Studio updated helps your beat store stay secure, stable, and compatible with the latest Banaslap features.

Updates can include new features, bug fixes, security improvements, checkout improvements, analytics improvements, and compatibility updates.

Before you update

Before updating Banaslap Studio, make sure you have:

• an active Banaslap Studio license;
• administrator access to your WordPress dashboard;
• a recent backup of your website;
• a recent backup of your database;
• access to your hosting account if needed.

If your store is already live and receiving orders, avoid updating during peak traffic hours.

Why updates matter

Plugin updates can improve:

• license activation;
• Stripe checkout;
• beat catalog performance;
• secure downloads;
• membership access;
• automatic license generation;
• customer dashboard behavior;
• analytics tracking;
• compatibility with WordPress.

Running an outdated version can cause missing features, compatibility issues, or unexpected errors.

Step 1: Check your current version

Open your WordPress dashboard and go to the Banaslap Studio admin area.

Check your current plugin version and license status.

If your license is inactive, updates may not be available until the license or subscription issue is resolved.

Step 2: Create a backup

Before updating, create a backup of your website.

At minimum, back up:

• WordPress files;
• WordPress database;
• uploaded media;
• Banaslap Studio settings if your backup tool supports it.

A backup lets you restore your site if something unexpected happens.

Step 3: Update the plugin

If the update is available inside WordPress, update Banaslap Studio from the Plugins screen.

In WordPress:

1. Go to Plugins.
2. Find Banaslap Studio.
3. Click Update.
4. Wait for WordPress to finish the update.
5. Do not close the page during the update.

If you received a plugin ZIP from your Banaslap account, upload the new ZIP only if instructed by Banaslap documentation or support.

Step 4: Clear cache

After updating, clear any caching system used by your WordPress site.

This can include:

• WordPress cache plugin;
• hosting cache;
• CDN cache;
• browser cache.

Caching can sometimes make the old frontend scripts or styles appear even after the plugin has been updated.

Step 5: Check the store

After the update, open your public beat store and test the main customer flow.

Check that:

• the beat catalog loads;
• the player works;
• audio previews play;
• license modal opens;
• cart or checkout works;
• customer dashboard loads;
• downloads still work;
• membership access still works if enabled.

Step 6: Check the admin

Also check the Banaslap Studio admin area.

Verify that:

• your license is still active;
• your plan is correctly displayed;
• your beats are still listed;
• license options are still attached;
• membership settings are still correct;
• Stripe connection is still active;
• analytics are still loading.

Updating on a staging site

If your store generates regular sales, consider testing updates on a staging site first.

A staging site lets you verify the update before applying it to production.

However, remember that each Banaslap Studio license is limited to one WordPress site. If you need staging support, check your account settings or contact support before activating the same license on another domain.

If the update fails

If the update fails, do not repeatedly refresh the page.

First, check whether the site is still accessible.

Then check:

• WordPress Plugins screen;
• hosting file manager;
• WordPress error logs;
• Banaslap Studio admin area;
• plugin version.

If the plugin was partially updated, you may need to reinstall the latest ZIP or restore from backup.

Starter and Pro

Both Starter and Pro include plugin updates while the subscription is active.

Starter includes the full Banaslap Studio store experience with basic analytics and a 10% Banaslap commission on beat and membership sales.

Pro includes the full Banaslap Studio store experience with advanced analytics, 0% Banaslap commission on beat and membership sales, and a 1% service fee per successful transaction, excluding Stripe processing fees.

Troubleshooting

If the update button does not appear, check that:

• your license is active;
• your subscription is active;
• your WordPress site can contact the Banaslap API;
• your server can make outbound HTTPS requests;
• your account has access to updates.

If the store looks broken after updating, clear cache and test again in a private browser window.

If checkout or downloads stop working, review Stripe connection, license status, and file access rules before contacting support.
