Move your license to another site

Learn how to move your Banaslap Studio license from one WordPress website to another.

Move your license to another site

Each Banaslap Studio license is connected to one WordPress site.

If you move your beat store to a new domain, rebuild your website, or switch from a test site to your production site, you may need to move your license.

When you may need to move a license

You may need to move your license if:

  • you built your store on a temporary domain;
  • you activated Banaslap Studio on a staging site;
  • you changed your WordPress domain;
  • you migrated your website to a new host;
  • you rebuilt your site from scratch;
  • you want to stop using the old site and activate the license on the new one.

Because each license is limited to one WordPress site, the old activation may need to be removed before the new site can activate.

Before you start

Before moving your license, make sure you have:

  • access to your Banaslap account;
  • administrator access to the old WordPress site if it still exists;
  • administrator access to the new WordPress site;
  • the Banaslap Studio plugin installed on the new site;
  • your license key available.

If the old site is no longer accessible, you may need to contact support.

Step 1: Deactivate the license on the old site

If you still have access to the old WordPress site, open the Banaslap Studio license screen.

Deactivate the license from that site.

This releases the site activation and allows the license to be used on another WordPress installation.

Step 2: Install Banaslap Studio on the new site

On the new WordPress site, install and activate Banaslap Studio.

If you need help installing the plugin, read the installation guide first.

Step 3: Activate the license on the new site

Open the Banaslap Studio license screen on the new site.

Paste your license key and activate it.

Banaslap Studio will contact the Banaslap API and verify:

  • that the license exists;
  • that your subscription is active;
  • that the site activation is allowed;
  • which plan and features should be enabled.

Step 4: Refresh plugin status

After activation, refresh the license status inside Banaslap Studio.

Check that the correct plan appears.

Starter should show access to the full store experience with basic analytics and the Starter commission model.

Pro should show access to advanced analytics, 0% Banaslap commission on beat and membership sales, and a 1% service fee per successful transaction, excluding Stripe processing fees.

Step 5: Check your store pages

After moving your license, verify that your store pages are correctly configured.

If you created pages manually, make sure the page where you want to display the beat store contains:

[banaslap-studio]

If you prefer automatic setup, open:

Banaslap OS → Settings

Then use the page generation tool to create the recommended pages.

Step 6: Test the new site

Before sending customers to the new site, test the main store flow.

Check that:

  • the beat store page loads;
  • the player works;
  • beats appear correctly;
  • license options open;
  • Stripe checkout works;
  • customer dashboard access works;
  • downloads are available after purchase;
  • license documents are generated when enabled.

Moving from staging to production

If you first built your store on a staging or temporary domain, deactivate the license from staging before activating it on production.

This prevents site activation conflicts.

If you cannot access the staging site anymore, contact support and explain that you need to reset the license activation for your production domain.

Domain changes

If your domain changed, make sure WordPress is using the correct URL.

In WordPress, check:

  • WordPress Address URL;
  • Site Address URL;
  • HTTPS configuration;
  • redirects;
  • caching rules.

An incorrect WordPress URL can cause license, checkout, or API communication issues.

Troubleshooting

If the license does not activate on the new site, check that:

  • the old site was deactivated;
  • the license key is correct;
  • your subscription is active;
  • the new site uses HTTPS;
  • the new site can contact the Banaslap API;
  • your WordPress server allows outbound HTTPS requests.

If the license says it is already in use, the previous site activation may still be connected.

If you cannot deactivate the old site manually, contact support with your account email and the new site URL.

Do not send your password, private server credentials, Stripe secret keys, or database credentials.
