Banaslap Studio can automatically generate a professional license document when a customer purchases a beat.

This is one of the most important features of Banaslap Studio because it helps producers sell beats with clear usage rights, file access, and purchase terms instead of only delivering audio files.

Why automatic license generation matters

When a customer buys a beat, they need to know what they are allowed to do with it.

A license document helps define:

• what the customer purchased;
• which beat is covered;
• which license type was selected;
• which files are included;
• what usage rights are allowed;
• what restrictions apply;
• when the license was created.

This creates a more professional buying experience and helps reduce confusion between the producer and the customer.

Before you start

Before using automatic license generation, make sure you have:

• uploaded a beat;
• created at least one license option;
• added the correct license terms;
• attached the correct downloadable files;
• connected Stripe if the license is paid;
• published the beat.

Step 1: Create a license option

Open the beat editor in Banaslap Studio and go to the license section.

Create the license options you want to sell.

For example:

• MP3 Lease;
• WAV Lease;
• Stems License;
• Exclusive License.

Each license should have a clear name, price, included files, and usage terms.

Step 2: Define the license terms

For each license, define what the customer is allowed to do.

License terms can include details such as:

• allowed streaming use;
• allowed YouTube use;
• allowed monetization;
• allowed music video use;
• allowed live performance use;
• maximum streams or views if applicable;
• credit requirements;
• resale restrictions;
• exclusive or non-exclusive rights.

Keep your license terms clear and consistent.

Customers should immediately understand the difference between each license option.

Step 3: Attach the correct files

Each license can give access to different files.

For example:

• MP3 Lease can deliver the MP3 file;
• WAV Lease can deliver MP3 and WAV;
• Stems License can deliver MP3, WAV, and stems;
• Exclusive License can deliver all available files.

Make sure the files attached to each license match what the license promises.

Step 4: Enable license document generation

When license generation is enabled, Banaslap Studio creates a license document automatically after purchase.

The generated document is based on the selected license, the beat, the customer, and the purchase information.

This means the customer receives a license document that matches the exact transaction.

Step 5: Customer delivery

After purchase, the customer can access their order from the customer dashboard.

Depending on your setup, they may receive:

• purchased audio files;
• stems or trackouts;
• order details;
• license information;
• downloadable license PDF.

The license document gives the customer a professional record of what they purchased.

No License mode

Some beats may not require a generated license document.

For example, you may want to sell or deliver a file without generating a PDF license.

In that case, use No License mode.

No License mode disables license PDF generation for that beat or license setup, but file delivery can still work according to your configuration.

Best practices

Use clear names for your licenses.

Avoid vague license titles like “Basic” or “Premium” unless the terms are very clear.

Better examples:

• MP3 Lease;
• WAV Lease;
• Unlimited Lease;
• Stems License;
• Exclusive Rights.

Keep your license terms easy to understand.

Avoid legal wording that is too complex unless you have reviewed it professionally.

Starter and Pro

Automatic license generation is included in both Starter and Pro.

The difference between Starter and Pro is not the license system itself.

Starter includes the full license system with basic analytics and a 10% Banaslap commission on beat and membership sales.

Pro includes the full license system with advanced analytics, 0% Banaslap commission on beat and membership sales, and a 1% service fee per successful transaction, excluding Stripe processing fees.

Troubleshooting

If the license document is not generated, check that:

• the beat has a license option configured;
• license generation is enabled;
• the order was completed successfully;
• the license option is not set to No License mode;
• the customer has access to the order;
• the downloadable files are correctly attached.

If the wrong files are delivered, check the file access settings for each license option.

If the customer cannot see the license document, check the order status and customer dashboard access.
