Customer dashboard
Understand how customers access their purchases, downloads, licenses, memberships, and account information after buying from your store.
Customer dashboard
The customer dashboard is the private account area where customers can access their purchases, downloads, licenses, memberships, and account information.
It gives your beat store a professional post-purchase experience and helps customers find everything they bought without contacting you manually.
What customers can access
Depending on your store setup, the customer dashboard can show:
- purchased beats;
- downloadable files;
- license documents;
- active memberships;
- member downloads;
- order history;
- account status;
- customer access rights.
This makes the buying experience feel more complete and professional.
Why the customer dashboard matters
Many beat stores focus only on the checkout.
But after a customer buys a beat, they need a reliable place to access what they purchased.
A good dashboard helps reduce support requests because customers can find:
- their files;
- their license PDF;
- their membership access;
- their previous purchases;
- their available downloads.
This is especially important if you sell memberships or licenses with different file types.
Purchases
When a customer buys a beat license, the purchase can appear in the dashboard.
The dashboard helps the customer identify:
- the beat purchased;
- the license selected;
- the order status;
- the date of purchase;
- the files available for download.
This gives the customer a clear record of their transaction.
Downloads
Downloads are controlled by the license or membership rules you configure.
For example:
- an MP3 license may give access to the MP3 file;
- a WAV license may give access to MP3 and WAV;
- a stems license may give access to MP3, WAV, and stems;
- a membership may give access to selected member downloads.
The customer dashboard should only show files the customer is allowed to access.
License documents
If automatic license generation is enabled, customers can access their license document from the dashboard.
The license document helps the customer understand:
- which beat was purchased;
- which license was selected;
- which rights were included;
- which restrictions apply;
- when the license was generated.
This creates a more professional and trustworthy purchase experience.
Memberships
If the customer has an active membership, the dashboard can show their membership status and access.
Depending on your setup, customers may see:
- active plan;
- available downloads;
- member-only beats;
- VIP Early Access;
- Private Drops;
- subscription status.
If a membership payment fails or the subscription becomes inactive, access may be paused until the payment issue is resolved.
Account access
Customers should log in with the same account used during checkout.
If a customer cannot see their purchases, first check that they are using the correct email address and account.
Purchases and memberships are tied to customer identity, order status, and access rules.
Best practices
Keep the customer dashboard easy to understand.
Customers should quickly see:
- what they purchased;
- what they can download;
- which license they own;
- whether their membership is active.
Avoid hiding important post-purchase actions behind too many clicks.
Troubleshooting
If a customer cannot see a purchase, check that:
- the order was completed successfully;
- the customer is logged in with the correct account;
- the purchase is linked to the correct customer;
- the license or membership access is active.
If downloads are missing, check that:
- the correct files are attached to the license;
- the customer purchased the correct license;
- the order status allows downloads;
- the file still exists on the server.
If a license document is missing, check that:
- license generation is enabled;
- the license is not using No License mode;
- the order was completed successfully;
- the customer has access to the order.
